Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, I moved to Austin, Texas in 2005 to begin my undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin. I majored in Psychology and minored in Education and Religious Studies. I received my PhD from the University of California, Irvine in Education in 2014. After graduate school I joined the RAND Corporation where I was a policy researcher. I’m currently an Assistant Professor of Early Care and Education Policy at the University of Delaware in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies.
